I hope they offer the service soon in your area. Apparently, the difference is amazing. Will let you know, once I am hooked up, but the next "bottleneck" will be my computer.
I pay $26 now, and use the phone line most of the day. It is inconvenient at best, and at worst causes me to lose money and potential. Perhaps the most important factor here for me is peace of mind. It is really frustrating to get "stuck" going from site to site. Gradually over the next 2 months, I should have a better system (now it's a P60-difficult to multi task) and feel more comfortable in making trades. I have also decided that E-Trade may be an option for me, because as others have mentioned, the pages load in quickly. I will try Greenline with the Cable modem, and if it's the same crap, I will be moving. I would rather spend more money for commissions, than lose money in trying to access a site. It is worth the money to give yourself proper tools, and I hope that anyone reading this message will be able to realize it faster than I did. My mistake should be someone's lesson, before it happens to them. Lost opportunity over the past several months has been huge.
Like I said previously, I lost the potential of a 15-20 cent gain (20-30%) on PHV on Friday because I couldn't get in fast enough. This gain would have been achieved in 5 minutes, and would have been a nice bonus going into the weekend.
