Perspective

Dr. Wayne Dyer will have a show on PBS soon about the peace and wealth of ancient wisdom. An interesting snippet from the commercial: "We can either change what we are doing, or we can change how we perceive what we are doing". I don't want to miss that one. Check for local listings. : )

The one thing I know, is that if I think my perspective is the one true final perspective, I have ceased to learn. The less I know, the wiser I become. It is interesting that one who changes his opinion readily is derogatorially called a "Hypocrite". And yet a physician takes a "Hippocratic Oath", a code of ethics, with the admonition "Physician, heal thyself". Both words are rooted in the school of medicine of Hippocrates. The first has been perversely distorted by those who did not understand. To me, to change is to heal. If one wishes to heal the body, one must change the mind. What many take to be a sign of weakness, is truly the source of the greatest power.

Jer 13:23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? [then] may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.

When I read this, it implies to me that the Ethiopian can indeed change his skin, and the leopard his spots. And by seeing good and not evil, we replace our carnal body with the body of Christos. To change the world within is to change the world without.

To me the chrysalis of the butterfly is a beautiful metaphor. The word Chrysos is Semite for Gold. A Chrysalis is a sheltered state or stage of being or growth, and also a gold colored pupa of a butterfly, as described in Webster. The story of Christ is our own story, and a guide to show us the path our transformation must take. Is it but coincide the notion of going to Heaven, becoming an angel, and having 'earned our wings'? Who told you that you have to die first?

One who sees past the retold tales of the Bible can see the commonality and correlation of messages from the religions of past and present, and is communicating from a higher level.

An example would be the Egyptian Scarab beetle. The superstitious would say that they are worshipping a false God, and Satan. One who knows would see that the scarab is a symbol of Resurrection. The scarab is a DUNG beetle. If I can take what I thought I knew, and see that that person is nothing but dust and dung, then I can transform, and separate that self from the self that is the Christos. After the Christos heals the first, only then may they be reunited.

Moses learned to see God in a scarab, in a bush, in himself. Our brothers would say that the Egyptians are devil worshippers, and didn't know God. This difference of perception is the key that Moses discovered. Our brothers choose instead to remain in the slavery of Egypt, their false perceptions. Moses would show them a way to perceive harmony and unity in all that they see, and still they would choose to see separation. In this, they show they have not found the Christos within, healed, and been reunited. Those who have not learned still seek to separate the good from the bad, and to walk on one side. Those who have learned, walk on both sides, because they see that there is no such thing as good and bad, there is only the one, which is God. If all are truly God's children, then there is no other.

If you believe that total peace and harmony are not in 'your Bible' perhaps it is, but it is not written in your perception. If you are not seeing what you wish to see, you can do something different, or see it in a different way. Such is 'healing'.

Peace,
Darrin
