When I was in Phoenix a year ago last April, I drove up towards Flagstaff and circled back through Sedona, Jerome and Prescott. I just checked a map to see where your town is. Pretty nice country up around there...although I have to admit that driving up to Jerome just about gave me heart failure...(Yikes!!!)..just about no turning back once you start that ascent... LOL.

Prescott area seemed fantastic. I don't know what it is like year-round, but it sure seemed nice in April.

And yes, the new canoe is TOPS. Just about everywhere I go, people come up to take a look at it when I'm loading or unloading it from my truck. Actually, that's one of the things I like about paddling. A lot of people will come up to say hello while they check out your canoe. I sure have met a lot of nice people, especially older fellows who used to be hunting or fishing guides and have told me some pretty neat stories about old canoes that they used to have. I'm never in too much of a hurry to hear a good canoe story. (-:
