<<my real estate holdings>>

I have been wondering about the impact of e-commerce on commercial real estate. I don't know if much of your holdings are there. I wonder if Forrester Research's estimates are correct, and if eventually a lot of commcerce moves onto the net, what happens to commercial real estate prices.

How much of a decline in demand for commercial real estate does it take to cause the prices to collapse? A few AMZN distribution centers take up a lot less room than thousands of Barnes and Noble stores.

At present the majority of people still don't believe that a major shift in a fraction of commerce over to the net will make a lot of small land-based businesses nonviable.

I don't know enough about real estate markets to make investments there. (I probably belong in mutual funds, or with Cooper-Linse or some money manager, when I save enough up). (In fact, I probably should just stick to doing rectal exams on my patients during their annual physicals, since I have long, skinny fingers. That is what I am really good at--its where my giftedness lies).

P.S. As I posted in 26284, a chunk of it is expected to go to small caps. But there is an obvious liquidity problem there (which benefits those who get there first). But AMZN is not burdened by the need to show earnings, so I am letting my long-term capital gain on this one ride.
