Off Topic:

At work we just got a water recycling unit. It uses high intensity ultraviolet light tubes incased in steel pipes to produce ozone (O3) to oxidize the bacterial content of the stored water.

Questions:

Ozone is an isotope of oxygen (o2)? Therefore where does the third electron come from to form o3, or is it a shared electron.
