Yes history can be repeated, but I don't think it will for this stock. When CRTM made their announcment last April - they were the only game in town. They promised to be first to market with a revolutionary product. It was the promise of exclusive patents and products that hyped that stock as I'm sure you know. To this date they have yet not delivered a product (Oct '96 release promised)... and they have delayed shipment until at least second quarter of '97. Meanwhile every major player in the world has jumped on the wagon - they are now competing against SONY, PHILLIPS, ZENITH, MITSUBISHI, etc. you name it - they are in to Internet TV. CRTM has delayed their product launch in the hopes that they can introduce more and better features than the others. Very long odds considering the R&D of the competition.

What makes you think that anyone cares about one more internet TV manufacturer? What do they bring to the game that will make them stand out?

CRTMs stock price gyrates wildly (it is not a constant move up as your post implies) - not because they are a good company - but because people have hyped their products without understanding the market for them.
