Well here is my theory with the response time on SI. I have been a member since January of 97 and have never experienced the slow response time we have now. From February to the end of July I would start at 7am and have 3 browser's up at the same time, one on SI, one on Yahoo and one on RealTime Quotes and never had the problems I do now. The only link I had experienced a slow response time was with RealTime Quotes and I think we all now why ( too many hits at one time ). So after checking my modem,dumping useless programs and cutting back on the number of browsers I have come to the conclusion that it's not my equipment but SI. I think with all the publicity SI has gotten in the last 3-4 months, I think SI can't handle all the hits. I follow about 5 threads here and over the last couple months just one of these threads gets between 4-500 hits between 8:30am and 5pm. If anyone else thinks the same lets hear it and then we all can let SI know. SI is not free so they should be responsible for the quality of their product, and if I am correct and the word gets out to the shareholders maybe something will get done.
