Thanks for the heads-up about the Mobil IRA, David. After reading some of the other comments about IRAs, perhaps I should look into transferring the money to a broker account and buying Mobil stock that way. In my case, I only intend on doing the transfer and will be unlikely to add any more to the account after that, unless present IRA law changes.

It brings up an interesting point that many mutual funds and brokers have either substantially reduced or completely waived the annual IRA fee. With drips increasing in popularity, can they be far behind?
