Yeadon:

The videoconferencing industry is trapped between an old high-end world of clients who previously can and would pay for the latest and greatest equipment and the huge/massive new body of millions of new users who are waiting, waiting for a high quality IP conferencing solution that's aligned with the Internet.

From what I can discern behind the scenes at VTEL and other places, this IP holy grail is closer than you think. Forget about MSFT's Netmeeting, CU SEE ME and the other entries from the herky-jerky crowd.

I, too, was premature on VTEL. Now I am weighing a shot at adding to my position, but only IF their IP-Net Ready stuff really has legs.

VTEL is positioning itself to go 100% all IP in the near future. This development has taken years. I am seriously looking at an IP-based SmartStation for a technology platform we are developing for the securities industry.

VTEL has some really good technology and has just been hammered by all the mesmerizing and wonder being generated about how the Internet is going to impact the industry.

I think VTEL should jump into IP Videoconferecing in a BIG way. They will be at the cutting edge here. With expansion in bandwidth going crazy in all quarters, professional, high-end IP-based videoconferencing across Extranets, VPNs or even the public Internet is very close at hand.

I think this will breath new life into VTEL. That's why insiders are buying the stock. This could be a major turnaround in the making.

Going into the end of the year, we are right smack in the middle of "dump central investing USA" . As I said it might be a nice time to consider adding to your positiion.
