RE: DELL should buy them.
Let's just look at this for a moment...
Ross Cooley, the 57-year-old computer industry dealmaker whom Jones hired away from Compaq two years ago as chairman and chief executive of pcOrder

Ross Cooley, who still has something like 5 million shares of CPQ, is the chairman and CEO. A number of other current and former CPQ executives have taken a position in pcOrder. Ross Cooley is still close to many senior CPQ people including chairman Ben Rosen and Pfeiffer, and is seen almost as frequently on the CPQ campus these days as when he was working there. I don't think you have to be Einstein to figure this one out. Some major might buy pcOrder, but it won't be Dell. It won't be HP or IBM either. It won't be very visible either.
