Greg - The company affiliations will not be very visible IMO. BTW - I know of at least 4 other interesting technology companies in the Houston / Austin area with heavy participation from key CPQ players. Remember that Ben Rosen, CPQ's chairman, is first and foremost a venture capitalist, that's how he got into CPQ in the first place. Also Tom Perkins is now on the CPQ board and has a big chunk of CPQ as a result of his huge stake in Tandem. Perkins is obviously one of the most influential VCs in the business.
