Lel, I have heard the rumblings about the bondholders reported attempts to block the takeover and *think* it may just be posturing. Joe Ettore doesn't strike me as the type of CEO who would knuckle under to that type of rhetoric. I feel the bondholders are just attempting to negotiate (through the press) as good a deal as they can get. The 55 cents on the dollar they have been offered by AMES is most likely the best deal they will find. Prior to the HDS takeover announcement by AMES the bonds were selling for 40 cents on the dollar, so the marketplace apparently felt that was all the bonds were worth. If the bondholders do try and block the merger, things might get interesting. I guess we'll have to stay tuned in to this channel for further developments.
