Hey, guys, let's not get our feathers ruffled, now! The comment (about Ciena taking biz from Tellabs) didn't track with me, either, but we all know (don't we?) that perceptions can be at least as important as reality in the market, and if somebody out there really thinks that is going on, whether it is or not, it can cause the price to move, ESPECIALLY with a stock like CIEN, that seems to be so highly rumor-sensitive. Personally (FWIW) I guess I really don't care why the price bounced up on Friday, nor whether it drifts back down to 16 short-term or lodges itself firmly above 20 next week, because I agree that in a few months time, after earnings start to get back on track, we should see a substantial price rebound, at least to 30-something. I intend to continue accumulating this stock in monthly increments, either way, at least until the price hits 35 or so.
Regards to all and thank you for the thoughtful discussion (cf. the Yahoo board--ugh!) #B~}> |
