Ok RudeDog.......
Finally found someone who wants to fight.
But don't look to me, I'm not the guy you think I am.
I've placed my stake in the ground regarding a very Big Picture movement underway, and I really appreciate your comments about me living in a "universe (that's) not closely related to the one the rest of us inhabit."
Music to my ears rudedog!!
As for your other comments:
"I certainly won't take your word for anything after this completely inane and off-base series of posts".
Keep it coming rudedog!! Off-base is where the entire world is going. We have a revolution on our hands my friend. How thick is your skull?? Let's see some vision, ideas coming from your head. This is where the future is at. Not in "me vs. you" - that's crazy, inane, lunacy. The future is all about "going high" my friend. What's can we commonly share together to "grow the pie". This is the "new code" of the Internet. See it, feel it, live it, breath it.......
>>Your concentration on money and the financial rewards that you believe drive technical people reflect the kind of empty thinking that affects too many technical companies.>>
You REALLY MISSED the boat on this rudedog. Go high my friend. Money is BS. Financial rewards??? If you are driven by these in this new revolution you are HISTORY my friend. Read back on some of my posts. Go to my website.
>>Real programmers are more interested in the value of their ideas, the opportunity to actually produce something that others will want to use, and the chance to exchange ideas with others who can understand them (something that clearly won't happen in any discussion between you and a technically savvy developer). >>
Bingo!!! I totally agree. Now you're talking rudedog. We are in complete agreement!! Great!
>>Microsoft provides even entry-level people with a great deal of flexibility in their job scope and work assignments, the chance to interact with some of the best minds in the business, and the assurance that technical skill will be rewarded.>>
Take a look at the top. Gates & Co. is an exercise in "taking energy" and yes I do live on another planet when I say this. The Microsoft business model is based on taking, using others, not showing your cards, lying, cheating, stealing.......
Ok, I'm guilty for not laying out facts. That's why we have the DOJ. I'll let them do their job.
>>The internal environment is more open to new ideas than companies like Oracle and Sun (both of which I have worked with on technical issues). How far would an Oracle developer get with the idea of a cooperative development with some Microsoft team? >>
Did I bless Larry Ellison?? He's got some issues work on himself.
>>The BEST talent has long left Redmond.>> >>>Keep on dreaming. You are showing your ignorance of the depth of technical talent in Redmond, and the degree of loyalty they have for the company.>>>
I'm dreaming and like what I see. The evidence and feedback I'm getting around the industry tells me Microsoft has lost THE most critical element needed to carry the really talented developers on their shoulders: TRUST.
>>The Softies work hard, they play hard, and they have huge energy and drive in both activities.>>
Agree 1000%
>>I know lots of good technical people at Sun, Oracle, and other Silicon Valley companies who would go to MSFT in a heartbeat if they had the chance. I don't think there are too many Softies who would go the other way.>>
That's your opinion. We are all entitled to have an opinion. Lay some facts on the table. I just did - the Temp suite - and you chose to ignore this.
BTW, I have my own business and am having a ball!
My, its nice to see some blood stirring out there!
Nice to meet you rudedog! |
