Listen Drink is Russia's no 1 problem besides Russian winter and Russian women. The Czars thought about banning vodka and so did the communists. There reason why not was that they were making too much money to quit and if they didn't make it the masses would make it worse still. (API:)

OT: why don't we let people run their own country? Except for secret stuff and military most issues today could be decided by Electronic internet ballot. With Iris/fingerprint recognition technology we could exclude over voting. Of course people would complain it is not secret ballot but they signed petitions to govern England for 500 years. It is high time we returned to a people's voice. If we wanted to protect privacy we could use kiosks which dispense voting rights to a card that is anonymous and has two voting chips. Put the one of the two chips in another machine and you have anonymous voting with no duplication.
