Sorry to belabor the point, but my original contention was that Clinton, if the public opinion polls are correct is being handed a "pass" on civil perjury and lying to a Grand Jury, both felonies. This attitude has been attributed to the "only sex" mentality among the populace, so NO it is not separate from the sexual harassment issue. It is at the nub of the dilemma, we are having this discussion because apparently the public puts little credence in our sexual harassment laws. I can assure you that if it were a matter of Clinton lying on his income tax return, then the public would be calling for resignation and prosecution. We wouldn't be discussing what "punishment fits the crime", he'd be gone.

BTW, if you are agreeing that Clinton committed perjury, then why the quotations? Is it a "special" kind of perjury?
