The Hook is from TCL or Perl to QP2 via the command line interface for dowloading data, updating database, running scans and exporting metastock data. This is the beauty of the whole thing. If you can write in any form of scripting language you can get QP to do what it does and do the rest in the the programming language of your choice. Can't do that easily with other data packages yet still take advanatage of error corrected data, scanning, etc.... Winbatch is also a good choice if you only use PC's and don't already know another language.
