NAQ does offer real time data not just end of the day quotes. However it does not offer Level II or market depth. I have heard from a few individuals presently using the real time feature that quotes are often delayed by several minutes. Carole (from NAQ) has said they are working on the problem and that the delay is far less than that.

Don't expect market depth or level II to be the holy grail when it comes to day trading. If you can sit and watch it continuously with scrolling trades and charts then it is a valuable system. However market depth and level II changes so quick that a single snapshot when you buy or sell will not help you much.

This is the Canadian day trading thread. If you are looking for level II than you are only looking at U.S stocks and should check out some of the American Day trader sites, there are tons of them.

The Level II that Carole mentioned is a free service for ISLD orders only (U.S stocks) and only works once in a while and is usually delayed. You may want to us it for learning but I wouldn't suggest using it for you day trading.

Best Regard
KEITH
