ish, the honeybees are all infested with, and being killed by, a little parasite that originated in China. My husband works with a guy who used to raise bees and sell honey. I did not realize that honeybees are not native to the Americas, they are transplants. Due to the parasite, and the widespread use of pesticides, and other problems, the bees are dying out. There are honey bee farmers that hire out their hives to pollinate fruit orchards and so forth, and travel north with their hives, following the warm weather north in time for the pollinating season. Otherwise, people who need bees order them, my husband's co-worker says they are shipped by mail, believe it or not, the bee company does something that keeps them sleepy, can't remember what, though, so jfred may be handling bees, and not know it?
