Mohan Re "the notion that good companies are worth paying an arm and a leg" By definition anything that is truly good will cost a lot of money, wouldn't you say? I don't know much about stocks but, in buying anything in general I've found it worthwhile to follow a sage's advice (I can't remember the exact words or the source, so I'll paraphrase): "you will appreciate the quality long after you've forgotten the price you paid". Have you observed the same?
