I agree that rational valuation models are meaningless as far as internet stocks are concerned. AMZN is valued 5 times BKS but sells around 1/5 of merchandise. That is because AMZN is concerned a better business model just like DELL vs CPQ. The reason MALL is on a hot run is due to the IPO of UBid. After the IPO, the momentum will be over and we will come down to teens if not single digits. Just take a look at WCAP/COOL. COOL was supposed to be the hot IPO. In the speculation WCAP took off from 1.5 to 13 (almost 10 times). When the hot IPO was not so hot, WCAP started the painful decline to 3 and COOL cooled off a bit. That is the scenario I am looking forward to. I might add that UBID is not EBAY, they have a different approach to the auction business. Only time will tell the outcome. Until then Adios Amigo.
