Off Topic: Hey, my friend, that would diminish the significance of each state's vote! I am all in favor of more local government, more local control, more involvement at the local level, less uniformity in our lives (unless needed in areas such as FDA regulation, interstate commerce). Unfortunately, as we get more local control, we also can get a less diverse group of people, which is less tolerant of cultural diversity, etc. There is no ideal situation, obviously.
