Hello "Brother",

IBM has been a significant corporate customer of NPIX's FDDI products for a long time, and there was a period about a year ago where they reduced orders for the product line. It is unclear to me why you think they would become acquisition active here, but they have given
no previous indication that they were interested. Eventually, IBM will have to do something in the Fast Ethernet area, and knowledgeable "Street" sources generally agree that they looked at Networth before that company was acquired by Compaq. In all probability, it is somewhat too early for NPIX to sell out: prices would be much more favorable once *proof* of market share increases comes in a couple of quarterly reports. Anything to the contrary appears for now, at least, to be uninformed speculation. Stay patient...in the long run, most likely the company will be acquired for its technology. In the short run, however, there is now alot of stock in *really* bad hands.
If there is no imminent announcement, this kind of stock usually gets sold. I think you will get considerable volatility *before* you get a final outcome.
