From WSJ Interactive:

>>LONDON -- British entertainment-software company Eidos PLC Friday
released the third version of its best-known game, Lara Croft's Tomb Raider.

"It will be a massive seller ... another colossal seller," said Nick Gibson, an
analyst with specialist technology-investment bank Durlacher Corp.

Eidos only once has released the game's sales figures; earlier this year it said
combined sales of Tomb Raider I and II had topped eight million units. Analysts
said prerelease orders for the new version are in the hundreds of thousands.

Mr. Gibson said that for the last financial year, Tomb Raider games contributed
between 60% and 65% of Eidos's revenue. However, that percentage is likely
to drop, despite the new release, because the company has since strengthened
its games portfolio with a number of other strong titles, he said.

Tomb Raider III joins a flood of new, pre-Christmas computer games, with 18
other titles released Friday by several game-software companies, and 41 more
to be released Friday of this week. <<
