I dont see the logic there. I believe there are millions of customers who are looking for exactly that, the same game, but updated! Plus all the new customers.

On your logic, TR2 should have done worse than TR1, because it was basically the same game also, yet it sold better than TR1, and indeed lead to follow on sales of TR1 by people who bought TR2 first. In fact, on your logic, there wouldnt be any sequels at all, unless they were completely different to the original!
