3D Systems Announces Lawsuit

Patent Infringement and Unfair Competition Lawsuit

VALENCIA, Calif., Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- 3D Systems Corporation (Nasdaq-NNM: TDSC) announced today filing a
patent infringement and unfair competition lawsuit in Los Angeles Federal District Court against Aaroflex, Inc., which is
headquartered in Metropolitan Washington, D.C.

According to 3D's complaint, Aaroflex has publicly announced the availability and claims it has sold, although not delivered,
equipment which assertedly offers the same functions as 3D's well-established line of rapid prototyping systems, which have
been sold worldwide by 3D for nearly ten years.

A. Sidney Alpert, 3D's vice president and general counsel, said that while the complaint currently alleges infringement of six
patents, 3D believes that many more of its over 50 issued U.S. patents may be infringed by the products announced for sale
by Aaroflex. The complaint further alleges that Aaroflex is engaging in acts of unfair competition, including intentionally
misstating comparisons of its equipment with the 3D machines, and falsely describing its own and 3D's patent coverage.

Alpert said that 3D will seek expedited discovery and a preliminary injunction in an effort to prevent unnecessary and
avoidable damages, production delays and like events that may result from the delivery and installation of infringing machines.
Alpert noted that 3D intends to vigorously pursue this action against all infringers, including users of the infringing machines, as
its patents cover use of the infringing Aaroflex machines, as well as their manufacture and sale.

3D is represented in this action by the Los Angeles law firm Loeb & Loeb, LLP.

3D Systems Corporation develops, manufactures and markets solid-imaging systems. In manufacturing, 3D's products
fabricate physical objects using input from CAD/CAM systems, substantially reducing the time and cost of bringing new
products to market. Major applications include rapid prototyping and tooling for products in a variety of manufacturing
industries worldwide such as automotive, aerospace, medical, computer, electronic and consumer products.
