I have a free account, but am looking to go pay for an internet provider somewhere else. I'm looking at a local one that has 56K, homepage, and email for $7.95/mo.

I want one with nationwide numbers and I'm a heavy user. Right now I'm trying Mindspring for $19.95/month. So far they seem pretty good but I can only connect at 40,000 bps. I tried connecting to other services numbers (without logging in, of course) and couldn't find any that were faster (and several were slower) so I'll stay with them for now.

I'm waiting for cable modems in 2H 99 anyway. Then I'll probably go with a $5-for-3-hours/month IBM Global Net account just to have a dial in line as a travel/backup line.
