MileHigh - re: " The heat problem, is this overblown? I have heard this before." No. It is real and must be dealt with - either via heat sinks, heat spreaders or an extra cooling fan. This adds extra complexity and cost. As technology advances for DRAM manufacturing, this will become less of a problem. Feature sizes will shrink and supply voltages will drop. Paul
