I used to live very close to my phone company and had really clear lines. I would always connect somewhere around 40K, maybe 43 highest. So, I think thats the best you'll get. Then I moved to the country, and now I can only get 28800 because there is more than one digital to analogue conversion in the lines or something. Thats what U.S Robotics told me anyhow. But, I don't mind, I can look out the window as I wait. I would love to have a cable modem, or ADSL. It'll come to me maybe a year later, but I'll get it someday.
