I would be a bit stronger with respect to your statement that lines *0.35 µm are not going to disappear rapidly - the chances of them disappearing within the next few years are virtually nil. Presently, there are still a massive number of simple devices produced using 0.5 µm and above lines (4 bit processors, etc.), and for which there is no real cost advantage on going to smaller lines (the devices would cost a bit less to produce, but you would have to develop new test protocols, qualify them for the environment they work in, etc.).
