Actually, Japan was using inflated stock/realestate to finance buying America... Got their loans called and had to sell performing assets to raise cash. They sold the only assets that would bring a good price close to what they paid, in my opinion....

Sort of reminds me of AOL buying Netscape.... <grin>
A wise investor will really think about this and see if there are any parallels if and when the internut frenzy subsides. I wrote some more on this frenzy at suite101.com and plan to add to it when time permits.
