Happy Girl,
Well said.
I think I misunderstood your breaking out of mental cages/mass hypnosis reference to mean that we YHOO skeptics need to undergo a transformation similar to the mass hypnosis in that exercise to see the opportunity YHOO presents. So I was quoting -- well, actually, referring, but I guess I did attribute the idea to you -- my reaction to your reference and making it sound as though you believed YHOO longs were in the throes of a hypnotic state. You didn't say, or even imply, that. My apologies.
As for the rest of your message, IMO it's probably a little of both: that is, some YHOO longs are in a state akin to mass hypnosis and some are not. And the appreciation YHOO longs have for the "danger of failure" may cause YHOO to fall precipitously, someday, on bad news or negative sentiment. But my guess is it won't happen soon. I also agree that there is a remote chance YHOO fails in the long run; it's just a question of how much success how fast.
And I agree with every single word of your last paragraph. I think, psychology aside, that these boards are in large part a vehicle for us to supplement our limited information in hopes of making that information a more reliable guide. Important personal decisions are usually best made after consulting a range of viewpoints. But in the end, they are indeed personal.
Best regards,
MAD DOG
