donald: The NYSE or NASDQ cumulative tick is "only" a representative of the direction of the majority of stocks within an index during a time interval.

Of course, advances vs declines is important, but when an Indice is up strongly but the tick is up marginally, I believe it indicates that the magnitude of the Indice's direction is being controlled by a minority of stocks.

EDIT: As I post this, it appears you numbers will be reached and the 9200 area is to be breached.
