Imax/Disney-Miramax Alliance in the works.

Imax and Disney's Miramax May Join Forces, the Globe Reports

Toronto, Nov. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Imax Corp. is considering an alliance with film maker Miramax Films, owned
by Walt Disney Co., the Globe and Mail reported. Imax, a Mississauga, Ontario-based world leader in
large-format movies, has said it wants to join forces with a major Hollywood company and it has been talking
with other companies about individual projects. Imax's New York- based Co-Chief Executive Officer Richard
Gelfond, whose salary was recently reduced in exchange for more stock options, said that the company was
not discussing a sale, though he did not rule out a partnership Miramax, the paper said.

Imax Corp.'s third-quarter profit rose to US$7.12 million (C$4.62 million), or US$0.24 a share, from US$5.49
million, or US$0.19 a year earlier. (The Globe and Mail: 11/23 B1 www.theglobeandmail.com)
