I asked a friend on the west coast (who has some knowledge regarding PJTV tv) to respond to one of your posts. His reply was:

"The 900 lines on the tv and the 800 lines on the DMD are two different things. The resolution on the DMD is spec on pixel dots (800x640) while that of a Regular TV is in horizontal lines that are scanned across the crt tube. Since the lines that are scanned across a crt excite the phosphorus coating the more line that are scanned across the crt, the more bleeding you will
get and you will loose sharpness and focus on the crt. The
other thing is that while the electronic circuit can do 900 lines
the Broadcast standard is only 535 lines so it doesn't matter that
the TV can do 900 lines because it is only receiving 535 lines of
information.
The present DMD that has been shipped to PJTV is 800x640 pixels which
is different than lines and is also digital which is different than the analog signal which transmits only 535 lines."

Perhaps if anyone out there is well-versed in the resolution area, you could comment on this post and the one posted by n/a stating that the PJTV tv is of less picture quality than a crt - which of course I do not agree with in terms of what I have seen.
