"A search by Westergaard Online's counsel identified the server..."
You know, I told myself I wasn't going to spend more time on this Docucon/y2K issue...until I read the DOCU posts of the last 24 hours. Then, after reading Westergaard's thing, especially the line above (which, unbelievable as it may sound, is a real life manifestation of the AOL/CIA story I posted on the other DOCU thread and which Joan Gilmore noted yesterday), and reading the recent chorus of posts, Yo!, its time for action.
We need to confront Westergaard, to explain to him how he appears to have a clear and dangerous conflict of interest, and, as shareholders, we are extremely nervous about the negative implications this publicity may have for the company and the stock. My only concern, and this is the second reason I quoted the line above, is that the dude appears to be on some sort of vidictive witch hunt. He used his legal department to uncover the server of the fraudulant post and spoke to the service provider so that he, John Westergaard, could determine the provider's trustworthiness (Does that last sentence trouble anyone? Under whose prerogative is this guy operating? What gives him the right to probe like this? Who is the one who needs investigating?). Actually, my point is that we better be damn careful if we contact this guy. My impression is that no one should identify themselves in any form - I have no doubt that he will persue your email - and, rather than acting as a responsible shareholder, you'll end up as a candidate 'perpetrator'. I suppose that means mention of the Silicon Investor should be be avoided also. I've got to go. I am VERY PISSED at this guy. Its jerks like this who will ruin this for everyone.
After much digging at his site, this is the Westergaard phone #: 212-947-1999. Call tonight, lets fill up his phone mail. |
