Bald Man, My criteria to sell (of course depends on whether I need the money) is related to both the fundamentals of the company: are they missing important deals, are their competitors eating their lunch with better technology, is management having problems, etc...it takes a fair bit of research, but I did my DD on NOVL not only before I bought it, but especially after I held it to make sure that their turnaround story by Dr. Eric Schmidt was still intact.
Regarding FORE's retreat, one could speculate if they missed getting some contract, are having productions problems, etc. Or maybe some momentum players are exiting the gates. At the moment, I don't have a clue, although technically its trading just on the 50 day moving average, which has been a challenge as a support level recently.
