Ahh, yes, that did it. I had seen this before, sometime.

The list (relatively short) of combinations tested with,
the "what if this or that goes wrong" warnings, the
list of "doesn't support yet" warnings, lead me to great
skepticism.

Also, I got a little confused about your term "Save to Disk"
versus "Suspend to Disk". I was hoping, but was intrinsically
sceptical, that an OS image might be restored, skepticism
arising from the many OS-specific problems that might
arise which could never be handled by a low-level BIOS
with any aplomb. I remembered that I had that vaguely
in mind after my previous response.

Take it as a combination of the two, I guess.

Anyhow, let us know how it works out.
