I disagree with that. I will do well with Intel because its stock price is based on real, measurable earnings and a reasonable multiple.

I agree with you about some of the Internet stocks: Amazon, eBay, Yahoo, etc., but I don't own them--I'm too conservative. Or maybe I'm too stupid. I did manage to get a couple hundred shares of AOL a few months back, but that's peanuts compared to my Intel holdings.

My wife wanted me to buy eBay when it went public because I spend a lot of time on it. I said: "Naw, I invest in real stocks, not hype..." Well, you know how I feel now. Tulip mania? Maybe. I wouldn't mind owning some of them tulips right now.
