You imply that the Christians don't spread lies about Christ. The greatest myth is that Jesus the Jew saw himself as the creator of a new religion, a new dispensation, intended to replace Judaism. The case is that he lived and died an apocalyptic Jew, and a myth of his life and beliefs was created by, among others, Paul, and was handed on to succeeding generations. It was Paul's fiction that ultimately succeeded in driving out competitive fictions about the nature of the life and beliefs of Jesus.
