I just do a prescreen (like for IssueType, Exchange, and some price and volume requirements). When the scan completes, I search for a stock in the letter range I want, find the beginning of the letter, and manually select (using shifted downcursor) all stocks starting with that letter. Then I use the menu to Copy, then Clear All, then Paste, and save the results as my new one-letter .lst file in the Lists directory.

It's a pain.
