The argument I've heard all day is that they want to increase usage during the middle of the day. But does AOL think they will attract new users and accomplish this by owning NSCP? How and why?

Why not have NSCP pay you for the right to package their browser? By owning the portal, they're changing the company(AOL)and what made it successful. This reminds me of CPQ chasing Dell. AOL chasing YHOO.

Or could it all be that Case felt a $4 Billion acquisition would double AOL market cap by creating a frenzy????? Look at all the media speculation. I wouldn't put it past him to entertain that idea. A FED inquiry is not out of the question with regards to the combination of these two, either.
