I agree with these last few posts that even if SGI doesn't make a 'dime' beyond R&D expenses being paid, the effort will be well worth it in low cost, hi volume spin-offs (assuming SGI is clever enough to see them). Also, I wonder about the 3rd party games, would they pay to SGI directly or via Nintendo? And there are a few SGI machines sold to design the new games that wouldn't (maybe) have been sold otherwise. And the N64 is going to be around at least 5+ years, so even if the R&D is paid off soon, it eventually should in the later years. It all adds up, bit by bit.
