Estimate of Rambus' royalties on DRAMs:

1999: $15b x 10% x 1.20% = $18m
2000: $17b x 20% x 1.00% = $34m
2001: $20b x 40% x 0.80% = $64m

Year: A x B x C = royalties
A = Amount charged by chip manufacturers for
worldwide DRAM production.
B = Percentage of DRAM production manufactured
under Rambus licenses.
C = Average Rambus percentage royalty on DRAM?

Additional data:
Total Rambus shares issued as of 30-Sep-98: 25m.
Total costs & expenses for year ending 30-Sep-98: $30m.
UncleWest says Rambus CEO says royalties from DRAMs
are half of Rambus' revenue stream (for 1998?).
