Paul:

You may be right about my entry point having given me a case of the "Nervous Nellies"...after watching it drop by roughly half to 13+/- after I had a good portion of my trading position put together, I may have been entitled...but I think that it was more about the fact that the CPQ rumor jogged my memory as to how disreputable the brokerage houses which started that rumor can be...and the fact that they broke the stock's back at 26...and then, it did not recover and still has not fully recovered (perhaps the word "yet" should be in there).

In any event, (a) I only sold my "trading" position and still have a fairly large combined equity and call position remaining, (b) it seems to me that SMOD always drops back and consolidates after earnings are announced, (c) it seems to me that the momentum players are no longer working the stock, (d) I don't like some of the quarter-by-quarter historical data I keep on this stock...which could change if it can put together 2 or 3 quarters of back-to-back sales and net earnings $ and % increases and (e) I just plain feel better = no "pucker factor"...which may be the most important reason.

You seem to follow this stock so, allow me a question. In several of the postings on several of the boards, mention was made about "reduced inventories" at SMOD. While this is certainly not the most important item on my list, my data (Hoover's and SMOD's press release) shows that their inventories increased over last quarter and over last year...what am I missing?

Thanks for your thoughts, Mike
