>>Dear Frank: I don't see why AOL is doing this? They can get the browser for free without the internal overhead. Now they become the competitor with MSFT rather than letting MSFT and NSCP beat their heads against the wall giving them a free browser. Also I would be concerned that the same gov't. that turned on MSFT would do the same to AOL/NSCP. None of this makes a lot of sense and I agree I don't think AOL needs them. If they bought some cable access I could see it but this I don't get.<<

John, It is not a done deal yet. AOL said that it wants to be sure that this deal really works. I think they will ultimately do what is best.

Netscape really showed its colors yesterday. These cry babies went to the government and complained they could not compete with MSFT and here AOL is considering a 4 billion dollar offer for a company that says it has a hard time surviving. Give me a break!!. Now a real war has started as MSFT is nothing to be fooled with. I think it would best to stop spending all the tax payers money and drop the suit against MSFT. Best Wishes with AOL, it is one of my holdings too as of late.

We will probably have some consolidation today as yesterday powerful advance should see some selling today but 10,000 here we come.

The S+P futures are down 4 and the Nasdaq futures are down 7. There will be some selling at the opening if these indications persist

Frank
