Telia Light Chooses VocalTec Ensemble Architecture to Deploy New Enhanced IP Telephony Service

Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE) Nov. 23, 1998--Telia Light
and VocalTec Communications Ltd.
(Nasdaq:VOCLF), the IP communications
company, today announced that Telia Light
has chosen the VocalTec Ensemble
Architecture(tm)(VEA) as the foundation for
their IP telephony services which will
expand on an existing phone-to-phone pilot
with PC-to-phone capabilities and new
enhanced features. Telia Light plans to
launch VEA-based PC-to-phone and also
web-based call center services in
December. The companies also announced
an agreement to develop additional PC
based IP communications services that Telia
Light plans to deploy in 1999.

Telia Light's PC-to-phone service will be
based on the VocalTec Internet Phone
Lite(tm) solution. From the Telia Light
website, online users anywhere in the world
will be able to download the free Telia Light
branded dialer software and sign up for
services to start making low-cost
PC-to-phone calls from the convenience of
their PCs. Telia Light will also enable its
corporate customers to set up web-based
call center solutions using VocalTec's
Surf&Call(tm) plug-in solution that works in
conjunction with the VocalTec
Gateway(tm).
Additional IP communications services are
planned and will be announced at a later
date.
