You don't need to wait till 2030 to check my investment...I bought 4000 shares of EBAY late last week for 143...Sold today for 193...That's a cool $200,000 profit in a couple of days...minus a few bucks for commission fees.
ROFL - what happened to your "over long periods of time, through countless splits and ever increasing "insane prices"!!!" :-)
You made a great trade, congratulations. I'll repeat - the only point I was making was refuting your incorrect comment about IBM. A comment, by the way, which made you look like a long term investor instead of a trader.
You did the right thing by selling, in my opinion. Can't go broke by taking a profit, ever. Given your previous comments about EBAY I'm sure you left some on the table and will let that ride, which I also think could be a good thing, over the LONG RUN.
Of course I am not as smart and informed as you are, so I take these foolish chances
I suggest you use some of that supposed $200,000 profit and enroll in a politeness class. I never said I was in the least bit smart, and if you could see my portfolio results this year you would agree!
Again, congrats. Nice short term trade. If you feel you must respond please do so in private, no sense in cluttering up this board.
