Hi Vitas: I remember the casino craze fairly well. It had casinos, suppliers, etc. involved. The prices were high for the stocks but they were on established companies that had operated out of Las Vegas for the most part. In the end there was overcapacity. Trump was building casinos in Atlantic City that actually competed with each other. Finally the overcapacity was too much and they dropped.

I think my memories of the biotechs were when Genentech went public. That was similar to what we are seeing now but it was not as pervasive.

The casinos and biotech were tangible and limited in scope. The internet is a revolution in its infancy. Its potential is limited by human imagination. Perhaps this is what distinguishes it from the other two. I have no idea--and apparently no one else does--what is an appropriate and a realistic price for an unknown and possibly unlimited future.
