[Answers to casual questions:]

<<<In AOL MF board it seemed that you indicated there would be announcement in 10 days, coincide with some TA indicator, are you just being optimistic?>>>

Not true. Not true. I've never said anything about days and I certainly don't do TA. What are you smoking?

<<<It seems to me time is not on Amati's side. If telco's don't implement ADSL, ISP's are going for something like IDSL (lets be honest, 6Mbps is a little bit overkill with current CPU and server). . .>>>

I disagree. Time *is* on Amati's side. The longer the FCC stalls, for example, the better able our DMT chip will be to catch up to CAP's purported earlier production schedules. If ISPs decide to go with highspeed bandwidth, they're as likely to choose ADSL as IDSL. As for 6Mbps being overkill with current CPU status, how long do you think it'll take to get them up to speed? How old are you? I'm guessing under 30 simply because I see an impatience with anything less than fast-food-type gratification. We're talking upgrading an entire telecommunications system world-wide and you're implying time's running out. Not only is it going to take several years to get this technology into full deployment mode, but it's going to take that long to get the general population to hook onto the Internet. Yes, everybody's scrambling to get the first wave of highspeed Internet afficionados signed up, but what about the second and third and fourth waves?

<<<<Amati have enough fundings to support itself?>>>

Money is not a problem.

<<<Without a real contract or big brother alliance, it IS an R&D lab.IMHO. >>>

We're each entitled to our own opinions. Amati's got the partners (with more on the way) and contracts will come as the technology is ready.

Why am I writing all this? You know it as well as I do. You must be bored tonight. That's okay. I think we agreed to disagree awhile back so I don't take offense.

Pat
